Video Splitters and Multiplexers
What is a video splitter?
Video splitters (sometimes called quads) are devices that let you connect multiple cameras to a single VCR or monitor. During playback, you can watch all the images your cameras recorded at once in a split screen mode.
What is a video processor?
Video processors are similar to video splitters. They also let you connect multiple cameras to a single VCR or monitor. During playback, you can watch all the images your cameras recorded at once, or change to a full screen from any of the cameras. Many processors also feature multiple digital features such as video freeze and zoom, and some include built-in motion detection.
