480 LINES OF RESOLUTION | The Lines of Resolution number is a good general way to measure the quality of a video camera. You can compare this camera's rating to these other video sources to get an idea of this camera's video quality: (Lines of Resolution) - VCR's (240), Regular TV (330), Camcorders (240-400), DVD's (480), HDTV (720-1080)
0.1 LUX | Lux is the minimum light level at which the camera will produce a satisfactory image. The LOWER the number, the BETTER the camera will perform in low lighting conditions. Here are some examples of low-light lux ratings: Full Moon (0.25 lux), Quarter Moon (0.01 lux), Starlight (0.00005 lux)
1/3 INCH CCD | The CCD is a chip inside the video camera with hundreds of thousands (or even millions) of pixels. The lens will focus on the pixels to make the video images. Most video cameras will have either a 1/4 or 1/3-inch CCD. Larger CCD's produce better image quality and brighter images than smaller chips.
3.6mm LENS | Lenses are measured in millimeters (mm). The size of the lens combined with the size of the CCD will determine the camera view. Other lenses are available for MOST cameras if you need a different view: Click here for our lens calculator. |

CAMERA WIRING CONNECTIONS
BNC VIDEO CONNECTIONS | This camera has a short cable that splits at the end into 1 female power and 1 female BNC video connection. Longer BNC and power cables may be easily attached. Adapters are available for using RCA video cables if needed. |

Call for longer length options. |
AUDIO + VIDEO + POWER CABLES (OPTIONAL) | These optional cables have a single cable with separate connections at each end for video, audio, and power. CABLE SPOOLS (OPTIONAL) | For longer runs or for pre-wiring a home or building we offer 500 and 1000 foot spools of Video (only), Video + Power Cable, Audio + Video + Power Cable, and CAT-5 network cable. |
BALUNS FOR CAT5 CABLE (OPTIONAL) | These optional items enable the video from this camera to be sent over CAT 5 network cable instead of coax cable. Each balun attaches to one end of the CAT5 cable and converts it to a video connection. This is normally the best option for very long runs and if you wish to use existing CAT-5 wiring instead of running new wires. |
